“Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls”
Though the “Marvel Rivals” hype has mellowed out in recent months, anticipation surrounding the MCU is still at an all-time high with the release of “Thunderbolts*” and the upcoming “Fantastic 4.” Now, MCU fans will also get to play their favorite superheroes and villains “Street Fighter” style.
This also coincides with Sony’s Project Defiant Wireless Fight Stick for the pro gamers out there.
“Silent Hill f”
Last year’s “Silent Hill 2” remake proved just how well the acclaimed Capcom franchise translates on modern hardware. Now, imagine the same level of atmosphere and scares, but in the setting of a Japanese rural town. Chills.
“007 First Light”
While we’re waiting for Daniel Craig’s on-screen successor, we’ll have to make do with a James Bond origin story. “007 First Light” follows a young and rather rash Bond as a recruit in the MI6 training program. “Baby Steps”
Next in the growing line of Foddian games is “Baby Steps,” where players will have to perform the insurmountable task of moving one foot in front of the other. As the upcoming game was developed by Bennett Foddy, who made “Getting Over It” and popularized the Foddian game genre, expect a lot of fails and gamer rage to a level unlike before.
“Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles”
Outside the mainline “Final Fantasy” games, Square Enix for years now has made a ‘Tactics’ spinoff series with gameplay focused on strategic positioning and specialized character rosters.
Among those in the series are: “Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions” (an updated version of the original 1997 “Final Fantasy Tactics” on the PSP), “Final Fantasy Tactics Advance” (on the Game Boy Advance), and “Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift” (on the Nintendo DS).
The upcoming “Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles” is a modern remaster of “War of the Lions” with improved graphics, fully voiced dialogues, and refined gameplay.
“Pragmata”
Capcom’s newest IP, “Pragmata,” is set on an abandoned space station run amok with rogue AI. Together with your trusty pistol and a mysterious girl named Diana, players will run through hordes of uncontrollable machines in hopes of discovering what went wrong.
“Cairn”
“Cairn” is introducing a new ‘survival climber’ genre where your opponent is the mountainside and you have resources to constantly monitor and ration, from chalk and medical tape to food, water, and medicine.
“Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater”
From “Resident Evil” to “Final Fantasy,” remakes in recent years have proven to be guaranteed successes. Konami’s upcoming reimagining of the 2004 “Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater” is shaping up to be no different.
“Nioh 3”
In a world filled with souls-like games from “Elden Ring” to “Bloodborne,” “Nioh 3” stands as a samurai action RPG that pits players against monstrous yokai in dark fantasy Japan.
“Ghost of Yotei”
